L’and Vineyards 4 room House in Montemor-o-novo

L’AND offers a small number of residences, designed by internationally renowned architects. Each Villa is carefully integrated into the landscape, in order to ensure total privacy, tranquility and astonishing views.
Built with natural materials – such as stone and natural wood – the villas are based on the contemporary reinterpretation of Mediterranean houses in order to allow a fluid and natural connection between the interior and exterior space.

The villas are located on large plots, in order to fully experience the natural spaces. Along with the vineyard, the residences also have orange groves, olive groves or almond groves, allowing the owners to have access to their production.

Alicante Bouschet villas are located close to the resort centre, benefiting from a unique view of Montemor-o-Novo Castle.

ALICANTE BOUSCHET villas are designed by the architects SERGISON BATES.
These villas are built around a central courtyard that acts as the heart of the house, looking out over the landscape and sky, similar to ancient Roman villas. The living areas are organized around the central space, forming a set of rooms and interconnected spaces. The balcony offers a shaded and natural environment, ventilated in the summer and protected from the wind in the winter.

The proximity of the swimming pool creates a pleasant and comfortable atmosphere that, together with the two sides (inside/outdoor) of the fireplace, increases the possibilities of use of this space. As the floor slabs follow the slope and the landscape, subtle differences are created between living areas. This aspect, combined with the gently sloping roofs, gives each house a special character.

The bedrooms and other support spaces are arranged in an orthogonal way around the central area. The shape of this space facilitates different activities, individual and community. The house becomes generous and open on the one hand, and contained and intimate on the other.

With very large plots (3000 m2 to 8 000m2 Alicante Bouschet villas are small rural estates, where owners can grow their own vines and orchards (of olive groves, orangeries , almond trees). Landscape design can be adapted to meet each owner preferences.

Owners can become l ́and wine club members and use their grapes to produce annually their own personalized wine at the resorts winery.
