6 room Country Estate in Redondo

Estate, in the area of Redondo, with 170 ha, with a slightly wavy part, with holm and cork oak forest, approximately 500 arrobas of cork, crossed by some water courses, 20 Km away from Évora and 160 Km away from Lisbon.

The Estate comprises a 16 ha irrigation pivot, a 5,2 ha surface dam, with a capacity of 1.500.000 cubic metres of water, 6 ha of traditional olive grove, 14 ha of cleared area and the remaining 129 ha of cork oak forest.

When entering the main house, with 510 sqm, there is an area with three rooms, quite ample, with a floor fireplace, connected to each other. Looking up, there is a mezzanine, two bedrooms with wardrobes and a bathroom.

Going around the house on the right side, there is a living room with a floor fireplace and a kitchen, also with a floor fireplace, prepared to place wood ovens. Leaving this division and continuing walking to the left, there are two more bedrooms with a bathroom and another mezzanine with a suite.

In front of the main house, there is a 300 sqm thatched cottage, a 100 sqm shed and a 200 sqm cottage that were converted into three independent studios with bathroom.

Outside we can sit on the benches called “”namoradeiras”” (“love seats”) or “”conversadeiras” (“talk seats”) to enjoy the wonderful landscape and behold a magnificent sunrise, experiencing the peace provided by nature.

The estate also comprehends an annex with a kitchen, a living room in open plan and a bedroom, stables with capacity for five horses and riding arena, an irrigation tank to the vegetable garden, PT 50 KWA and a borehole (12000 litres per hour).

The Estate is parked, fenced, with ponds and inserted in an associative hunting zone (AHZ), having a high touristic potential due to its location, since the Alentejo is increasingly a destination of choice, not only for foreigners but also for the Portuguese.

Redondo, the county seat, is in the extreme east of the municipality, borders Alandroal and is about 35 kilometres away from Évora, the district capital.
At the southern end, the parish of Montoito lies in a plain of sown fields, cork-oak and holm-oak forests, olive groves and vineyards.

Redondo is Alentejo, a town of affable and humble people. Redondo is tradition and hospitality. White villages with houses with a strip of cheerful colour, like so many others in the region, “”home”” to dolmens from ancient times and endless fields covered with carpets of flowers, colours and the typical Alentejo holm-oak forests.
Here, in the summer, the quiet streets get lively and filled with colour and bustle. Here the clay is moulded and culture is served at the table, where honey, sausages and the Alentejo wines produced in the county delight those who sit at it and forget about what goes on outside.
