Chief among these is the Para-Hôtelier scheme, which allows buyers to reclaim the 20% VAT included in the purchase price by opting the property into furnished, short-term rentals offering at least three hotel-like services — such as concierge, cleaning, or linen supplies — for a minimum term set by French tax law.
