Located on the Costa Brava (Wild Coast), within the Catalonia region, Begur boasts spectacular beaches with fine, golden sand and little coves such as Sa Tuna and Aiguablava. The climate is hot and sunny with an average annual temperature of around 17 degrees Celsius and the waters are crystal clear, it is no wonder water-sports such as sailing, wind-surfing, kite-surfing, diving and snorkelling are popular past-times. The village sits on a hilltop, with a labyrinth of cobblestone streets leading to fantastic little restaurants, bars and cafes. Begur castle sits right at the top of the hill and affords incredible views overlooking the village and the coast below. Girona Airport is the closest, at approximately 32 km and Barcelona-El Prat Airport is around 2 hour’s drive.
