As with the 3rd arrondissement, the 4this right bank and part of the Marais district. This is where some of Paris’ main historical sites can be found, such as Notre Dame Cathedral, Sainte-Chapelle and La Concierge. The architecture is breathtaking as it was once home to many aristocrats and noblemen. The area is still popular and full of boutique stores, cafes and trendy restaurants. Place des Vosges is the oldest square in Paris and where the famous Victor Hugo once lived. This area has long had a reputation of being Paris’ gay district.
