Also right bank, this area is mainly residential and not renowned for tourism. It does however hold two of the city’s largest parks; Parc des Buttes Chaumont and Parc de la Villette. The latter known for its museums and music concerts as well as other cultural events. One of the more famous museums is the Cite des Sciences et de l’Industrie which is the largest science museum in the whole of Europe. This museum has everything, from an IMAX theatre to interactive displays and exhibits there’s plenty to explore. The Cite de la Musique has some interesting exhibitions and holds over 1000 musical instruments from days gone by, some of which belonged to notable musicians such as Chopin. It also houses the world famous music school, Conservatoire de Paris. The Philharmonie de Paris is a performance venue and is rather remarkable with a seating capacity of 2 400.
