This ‘new’ town serves as a bit of a buffer between Paris, and Disneyland Paris. The architecture is modern and it serves as a business and residential centre. Marnee-la-Vallee / Chessy station is only a few minutes’ walk to Disneyland Paris and Walt Disney Studios Park. In addition to the theme park rides there are plenty of restaurants, an entertainment complex, golf course, an aquarium, and Disney Village (if you’re partial to shopping). Also situated in Marne-la-Vallee is the 18th century Chateau of Champs-sur-Marne, a beautifully elegant Versailles-style Chateau with magnificent gardens, big enough to wander around for hours. Euro Disney is a large and exciting development, just 6km from Disneyland Paris. It is an eco-resort based on sustainable development with geo-thermal lake, aqua lagoon, farm, forest attractions, scenic trails, enchanted island and spectacular gardens.
