Oz-en-Oisans is part of the ski area, Les Grandes Rousses, with the relevant ski lift pass visitors will have access to 250 km of pistes with 117 slopes which cater for all levels of skier and snowboarder with 38 green runs, 31 blue, 33 red and 16 black all served by 84 lifts. There is also the ‘longest slope in the world’, with 16km of continuous skiing, two snow parks, a bob-sleigh area, night slopes, off-piste trails as well as nursery slopes. The resort itself has 62 km of downhill pistes, with 42 green slopes, 37 blue, 39 red and 17 black all serviced by 22 ski lifts. Aside from skiing and snowboarding, winter activity options include ice-skating, cinema, dog sledding, snowmobiling, snowshoeing, tobogganing and paragliding. In the summertime, visitors can go hiking, mountain biking, participate in archery, water rafting and water sports. Being a child-friendly resort there are plenty of activities for children and families too. The village is small and peaceful, with all necessary shops and services within walking distance. There are bars and restaurants too, making for a lively apre-ski atmosphere. The closest airport is Grenoble at around an hours’ drive.
