This resort is located in the Savoie department, south-eastern France. It is part of the Espace San Bernado ski area giving guests access to over 286 km of prepared terrain in the linked resorts with the relevant skipass. It is also the only resort in the Savoie that offers ‘Internation skiing’ with ski lifts linking it to La Thuile, Italy. Heliskiing is offered in this neighbouring resort, should you wish to experience this exhilarating activity. La Rosiere is great for beginners as well as intermediate skiers, with 73 pistes in total (red, green, blue and black), 140 km of downhill and 7 km cross country pistes served by 37 ski lifts and a free ski bus. The resort altitude is 1,850m and the highest lift goes up to 2,600m. The slopes are mainly north facing and the resort has a close proximity to Mont Blanc, which, along with the altitude, guarantees early season snowfall and snow late into the ski season. For those who prefer to snowboard, a 300m long and 50m high snow park is available.

La Rosiere is a beautiful, picture-postcard perfect village, with a variety of leisure activities and facilities such as ice skating, ten-pin bowling, cinema, guided village tours and the Altispa, which has a sauna, Jacuzzi and massage treatments. The resort carries the “Famille plus” label, making it completely child-friendly with a day-care center and activities and events organized throughout the year, such as themed games and animations. There is a good apre-ski atmosphere with pubs and bars that open till late and sometimes have live music performances, as well as family friendly events such as firework displays and concerts.

Aside from skiing and snowboarding, winter sports and activities in both resorts include Snake Gliss and sledging, snowshoeing, cross country skiing, winter walking trails, dog sledding, paragliding, snow kiting, ice driving, ice diving and taking helicopter tours. In the summer, the resorts are just as lively with activities including mountain biking, trail runs, hiking, golf, rock climbing, horse riding, white water rafting, tennis, archery and fishing. There are plenty of restaurants, bars, shops and services including a post office, ATM, foreign exchange, medical facilities and patisserie.

There are 4 airports within 2-hour’s drive with Chambery airport is the closest at around 1 hour away. Geneva and Turin are approximately two hours’ drive away.
