Auris-en-Oisans is part of the ski area, Les Grandes Rousses, with the relevant ski lift pass visitors will have access to 250 km of pistes with 117 slopes which cater for all levels of skier and snowboarder with 38 green runs, 31 blue, 33 red and 16 black all served by 84 lifts. There is also the ‘longest slope in the world’, with 16km of continuous skiing, two snow parks, a bob-sleigh area, night slopes, off-piste trails as well as nursery slopes. Aside from skiing and snowboarding, winter activity options include ice-skating, dog sledding, snowmobiling, snowshoeing and paragliding, cabaret and cinema. In the summertime, visitors can go hiking, mountain biking, play miniature golf, do water rafting and water sports. This resort is located right next to a forest, the Ecrins National Park and all accommodation is near to shops, services and leisure activities. In total there are 45 km of downhill pistes with 42 green slopes, 37 blue, 39 red and 17 black served by 15 ski lifts. The closest airport is Grenoble at around 90 minutes’ drive, Lyon airport is 2 hours and Geneva 2 hours 30 minutes.
