Juan les Pins Destination Guide
Juan les Pins is a picturesque seaside town bordering Antibes. With palm trees, sandy beaches and warm sunny weather, it is the perfect location for a relaxing retreat and summertime is its busiest time of year.
Enjoy the nightlife, casino, shopping, Provençal market, or charming historical heritage. The International Jazz Festival in July draws a large crowd with many internationally renowned artists performing each year.
Cap d’Antibes and Juan les Pins beaches are sandy and clean with good facilities, restaurants and seaside cafes. Many sports and activities are on offer, especially water sports such as sailing, fishing and kite surfing. If you enjoy nature walks then the 5km long stretch along the seafront in Cap d’Antibes is lovely. It begins in the old town and winds its way along the coast, past a small cove and private mansions. At the very tip of Cap d’Antibes, the Villa Eilenroc can be found. It was built in 1867 and has beautiful manicured gardens with thousands of different roses and panoramic views overlooking the Cap and vast coastline.
You could also take a stroll in the Port Vauban, Antibes, to view the luxurious super yachts. This port has certainly stood the test of time. It has been a port since before the Roman occupation and still has original fortifications from the 1600’s. Here you will also find Le Nomade, a large sculpture that was erected in 2007 and made up entirely of aluminium letters. If you appreciate art then you could visit the Picasso museum. It is built atop the original Greek Acropolis and the base of the walls is actually Roman. It was turned into a museum in 1966 and previously served as Picasso’s personal studio.
If you don’t mind a little drive, you can visit Cannes, which is located 11.5km away. Cannes is perhaps one of the most popular destinations on The Riviera, with its combination of luxury, beauty and glamour. The Croisette famously offers luxury shopping, exclusive bars and restaurants and exquisite sandy beaches.
The nearest railway station is the Gare d’Antibes, situated in the centre of Antibes and offers connections to numerous destinations including Paris, Nice, Cannes and Marseille. Nice Côte d’Azur is the nearest airport at a distance of 15.5 km via the A8 motorway.
