Fayence Destination Guide

Fayence and its surroundings (Seillans, Tourettes, Montauroux to name a few) are charming small villages perched in the forest atop the hills. These areas are extremely beautiful and peaceful, offering a very pleasant quality of life. At the top of the hills, you will find magnificent pines and olive trees. At the foot of the Alps sit the eight villages of the Pays de Fayence, dominating the bay of Saint-Raphaël. It is a verdant and authentic territory, where most of the villas and properties are Provencal in style. The best features of this region are the warm and sunny climate, the authenticity of the villages, and the picturesque villas. These are surrounded by fields of olive trees and famous vineyards.

The exceptional Gorges du Verdon is a site not to be missed! It is a river canyon with tranquil turquoise waters, beaches and tucked away coves, 25 km long and up to 700 m deep. Visitors can swim, sail, picnic, canoe and even hike through the picturesque surroundings. Terreblanche golf course, situated in Tourettes, is a 5-star world famous 18-hole golf course. If you are a golfer, this course is truly impressive and worth a stop.

If you don’t mind a little drive, you can visit Cannes. It is located 41.1 km away via the A8 motorway. Cannes is perhaps one of the most popular destinations on The Riviera. It has a combination of luxury, beauty and glamour. The Croisette famously offers luxury shopping, exclusive bars and restaurants and unquestionably exquisite sandy beaches.

Nice on the other hand is located around 65.7 km away via the A8 motorway. The famous Promenade Des Anglais (Walkway of the English) is a wonderful place to walk, cycle or run. You can view the beautiful city on one side and the calm, picturesque ocean on the other. Do as the locals do and sit at a café and people watch, or sit in the perfectly placed seats and benches and gaze out over the endless Mediterranean ocean. The Old Town is a must-see, with its numerous historical sites, cafés, quaint restaurants and the famous flower market selling not only a bright array of blooms but fruit, vegetables, spices and other Provençal delicacies.

Fayence is conveniently located close to the motorway, about 34 km from Cannes / Mandelieu Airport and 58.8 km from Nice Cote d’Azur International Airport via the A8 motorway.
