Villard Reculas Destination Guide
Villard Reculas is part of the famous ski area, Les Grandes Rousse. With the relevant ski lift pass, visitors will have access to 250 km of pistes with 117 slopes. It caters for all levels of skier and snowboarder with 38 green runs, 31 blue, 33 red and 16 black all served by 84 lifts. Furthermore, you will find the ‘longest slope in the world’, with 16km of continuous skiing, two snow parks, a bob-sleigh area, night slopes, off-piste trails as well as nursery slopes.
This resort is known to be family-friendly, with plenty of activities for children as well as fantastic child-care options. There are 10 pistes in total (1 green, 4 blue, 2 red and 2 black) and the maximum vertical altitude height is 2 080m.
In addition to skiing and snowboarding, winter activity options include bowling, visiting the cinema and enjoying the indoor swimming pool at the leisure centre. Snow-based activities include dog sledding, snowmobiling, snowshoeing, tobogganing and paragliding.
In the summertime, visitors can go hiking, horse-riding, mountain biking, bowling, playing golf and table tennis. For those feeling more adventurous why not participate in water rafting and water sports. These are very popular pastimes in the area. If you would prefer to relax there is a world-class spa and wellness area.
Throughout the year, various events and festivals are organized by the resort. You will also find cultural activities such as museums to visit and heritage home tours.
