Hossegor, Capbreton and Seignosse are three communes still greatly sought after on the Landes coast. This southern portion of the Landes benefits from its close proximity to the nearby Basque coast. The Quiksilver Pro, stage of the world surfing championship, is organized in October each year and Hossegor is fondly referred to as “The Hawaii of Europe” in reference to its and surfing and beach culture.

Hossegor boasts an exceptional natural heritage, with a charming holiday atmosphere the housing market is almost exclusively aimed at holiday homes. In the summer this city is busy and vibrant with locals and visitors spending their days on the beach and evenings at one of the many restaurants, bars or cafes. There are some nightclubs and the area is particularly vibey in the summer months when the weather is good and there are a large amount of visitors.

Although Hossegor does not have its own airport or train station, Biarritz airport is located approximately 37 km drive along A63 motorway.
